Super sweet family owned tapas bar with a nice selection of small plates and great wine. The place is tucked on the side of a building that house a local artist gallery and has a cozy personal vibe. We enjoyed our visit and will come back when we are in town.

Unique food, fun atmosphere, great staff. Don't be in a hurry. Plan to come and hang and just soak up the atmosphere.

This is the ONLY place that I will eat out at in Montrose. John and Doreen are some of the kindest souls that make some of the most amazing food. I highly recommend their Venice Salad, their House Kimchi and the Korean Pot Roast as these are my top three favorite items on their menu. It isn't hard to tell that everything on their menu is prepared with love and care. It is obvious they are deeply passionate about the food and service they provide for the people. The food, the atmosphere and the employees are the reason why I will never stop going here.

The food was homemade & absolutely delicious. The portions were perfect and my friend and I loved everything about this little slice of heaven in our hometown. Thank you.

Each time we have visited friends in Montrose, we have had dinner at Venice to Madrid. It is a great tapas restaurant with wonderful dishes. The menu is printed out to keep it fresh. If you come later in the service, you may miss out on a few of the dishes, but that is what you should expect when the food is made fresh. We had the ricotta filled dates, chicken meatballs (my fav!), garlic shrimp, ricotta and preserves bruschetta, and the carrots (can't remember the full name on the menu, but they are delish!). Our server was great, and helped determine which sparkling wine to get. Overall, the quality of the meal and the service you get is outstanding for a small town. Always a treat, and will go again when we travel to the area again!

If you’re looking for amazing food and great ambiance I highly recommend Venice to Madrid. And I’ve never had Black Forest cake before, which was… WOW! I love this place!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Northeastern PA, set in a cutesy small town with wonderful local shops and a growing cultural vibe. The food is all scratch made. The owners used to run a small organic farm off grid on their land nearby for many years and worked farmers markets selling heirloom vegetables and their own cheese and fermented foods. The restaurant is inspired by Italian cuisine but more-so a Mediterranean influence. There are no fryers in the kitchen and the menu has options for plant-based, vegetarian and omnivore that are not available in the area. The plates are small but compact and filling. We love their whole approach to making food and wine. Farm to fork. The wines are even made in house and they grow their own grapes and source grapes from the Finger Lakes. The atmosphere is East Village New York City. The Italian and Spanish tapestries inside the restaurant create the mood instantly. Be prepared to be transported when you visit. You will not regret it.

Okay, look, if you're coming to this place without understanding of how tapas work, you might be disappointed to find out that "tapas" are small plates, vs an entree. If you are expecting perfect high end atmosphere and plating, this is not it. If you like basic, plain food from chains or diners, nope, drive on by. If you need everything on the menu available, maybe not here. But what it is, is good. Moreso, it's delightful. You come around a crummy looking building and are greeted by this amazing mosaic mural and you can't see inside but you know you'll be delighted. You walk into the low light and all the tables of happy people look up to greet you, the host is gracious - do things differently and they're open about it. Ride the ride! Whimsical art and space use abounds. Perfect in its imperfection. The variety of plates and glasses sets the mood. They have super interesting drinks, I tried the fruit wine flight and come to find out that not only do they make the wine, they make the bread, even the kimchi. What, you say, kimchi at a tapas place? Yes indeed. The food comes out and it's not pretentiously plated but that's okay, the food does the talking. Balanced, spiced, texture. Variety! So much variety! We're vegetarian and had no problem having a full meal for four. They were flexible and perky and we met one of the owners who got lost in conversation with the table across from us, and then the table engaged with us and we made new friends. This is what five stars looks like. My kids loved it too. Well bring everyone from out of town here to get the best of what this area has to offer in food, adventure, and hospitality. Thanks for everything!
